Miles Kane @ Cultura Inglesa Festival Parque da Independência, São Paulo (Brasil) May 29th, 2011 Not the best audio quality but the stage looked so pretty I had to record it! And this was the last song from the set so he was really into it :)

Oasis - Cigarettes & Alcohol (Standing On The Edge Of The Noise)
sounds like gem asking the questions
Noel should know that John Lennon was very open about what got the Beatles noticed in the press. It wasn't their music. It was Lennon almost killing a man for alleging Lennon was homosexual. That's what got The Beatles in the papers and noticed. Not their music. The beating of a man almost to death. Is it Rock 'n' Roll?
Ah… la persiflage.
It took me to the end of the clip to notice… are the other band members there? Someone sounds like their limbic system is battered man
I believe there's only Liam, Noel and the reporter in the room, as we don't hear anyone else comment anything or even laugh at their nonsense at least
4:51 "super indignant" lol
2:06
"Well I am, la." 😂
I'm French but I'm fluent in English. I can't help but laugh when I think of several portions in this legendary interview! My favorite part would be (from Noel) at 3:12-3:13 : "he's not a bad lad. He's a fucking.... You know what I mean, he's like....."
0:29 😂
Transcript is written by someone who has never met a northerner
This happened days before Supersonic, their very first single, was released. Can't imagine how intense their arguement was fifteen years later, at the very moment when Noel quit and the band split...
Acho que teve algumas respostas em que o Noel foi irônico ahshsys
"Scouse schlepper" 😂😂
I've always been blown away that Liam never reacted to Noel saying "Well, fuck off from my band", given that Liam was prone to irrational outbursts re: anything & everything that others would say, esp' Noel...
PS. And not to mention the fact that not only was Liam the band's charismatic frontman - & therefore their primary on-stage representative - but he first started the band with his mates, before Noel imposed himself upon the band, as he's often inclined to do...not that we would've likely ever heard of them to this day, without Noel's wonderful songwriting abilities & his general business acumen...
"Liam is an asshole" - George Harrison (2000). I predict that around Christmas 2024, Liam will be beaten to death outside some pub, in a fight that he started after a long night of hard drinking, with the wrong people. His face smashed beyond recognition, a DNA test will be run as his skull and teeth were too damaged to use his dental records as reference. Live AIDS II will be dedicated to his memory.
It annoys me whenever Noel refers to Oasis as his band. Noel joined Liam's band and his songwriting got them to where they were
WHo Liam or Noels?
@@Hal9000ize Noel's obviously 🙄
Rare as rocking horse shit 😂
He's making poetry every time he speaks
Liam: …and I hope one day there’s a release, when I can smash the fuck out of him with a fucking Rickenbacker - right on his nose. How about a 1960 Gibson ES-355 Custom? Kind of eerie that this is what ultimately split the band up
If only this wasn’t french dubbed 😭
Cocaine is a helluva drug
UNITYYYYYY😂
i love liam so much
I change sides every time I listen. This should be taught on Musical theory courses
I knew Liam would cite the Pistols. They’re a horrible group that just ripped off others before their bullshit implosion. I can’t believe Noel put up with him for all those years.
While this was happening, Kurt Cobain was about to kill himself
BLOOOARSKYBLUH!
Liam and Noel are the reason I'm happy that I never had a brother.I just don't get sibling rivalry.
Anyone who doesn't get this conversation must not have brothers.... Lol
They fight over the perception/aesthetic of the band while they already have the songs/albums written and recorded to a tee. This is like a high school band in reverse.
Noel talks the talk , Liam walks the walk
This was released as a single in the U.K. it charted. THIS charted. Mental
Those music journos sure knew how to repeatedly put the cat among the pigeon
This is too funny😭😭😭😭😂😂😂💔
Liam always gives 200%, love it
I'd love to hear what they had to say to each other nowadays
That was epic liam speaking, Noel saying "Shut the fuck up"
I'd love to request this on the radio
Lol liam
Liam 🤣🤣🤣🤣😭 “That’s why they were so good, that’s why they were so good”
When i was younger and listened to this i thought Noel was an annoying bully. When im older and listen to this i think Liam is an annoying brat.
DBTT TMOS OASIS4EVA 👏🙏
❤❤❤
It's hard to understand cause they're accents are so thick it sounds like they are still drunk
It's actually hard to find a moment when they were sober in the 90's, right? hahah
Music Admit it Music Admit it Music Admit it
The power struggle expressed in this recording is still happening
When I was using and drinking I was more like Noel. I kept my head down and stayed out of trouble. Some people, like Liam god bless that boy, have their fuckin necks up in the air looking for any trouble they can find.
I had this on cassette tape back in the 90's and listened to it with my sister. Glorious. <3
Liam nailed it at 4:28 ish Rock and Roll is about being yourself, (you can’t be no one else) ironic that Noel wrote the lyrics but disagrees while Liam is the very personification of said lyrics
It just turns out being a drunk retard is Liam being himself
There all coked up in this interview you can tell. Non of them can get a word in hedgeways 🤣🤣
I bet Noel was the good son and liam the Black Sheep that reference born to be a Priest...how true was that? A superb interview i am dying with laughter oasis have gone up in my estimation
